Rep. Dennis Kucinich has described Israel’s collective punishment of the population of Gazan as illegal and has called on the UN to investigate.  He’s alone among both Democrats and Republicans in condemning the strike, which is a good example of why Sen. William Fulbright called the US congress ‘Israeli-occupied territory’. (Thanks Idrees).

“All this was, and is, disproportionate, indiscriminate mass violence in violation of international law. Israel is not exempt from international law and must be held accountable,” he said. “It is time for the UN to not just call for a cease-fire, but for an inquiry as to Israel’s actions.”
